so i don't know if anybody caught this but at the point at the end of mission 3-2

psh, the following quote is more, as you say, epic-

I thought it was too obvious. Less classy and more forced referencing.

And right before that when she's filming the carnage she says "Fan-tastic!"

I'm not sure if that is a meaningful distinction. It's forced in the sense that any other written thing is forced. But you could tell they wanted to make the reference. "

All I saw of this thread was the number 3 and 2.  Hopefully, I will not be disappointed.

You can unlock Otis's Willamette Mall outfit and the orange Convict outfit, so basically they let you dress as the two most annoying characters from the first game.

There are direct references to events and characters from the first game

No even close to epic, the way it was delivered was to lame.

I did least like during one of Katey's zombrex injections, Chuck puts away her...DS? or whatever it's supposed to be and she says that she didn't save her progress so now she has to start all over again. I might be grabbing for thin air but I think that may of been a nod to the complaints the first one got over its strange save system. It didn't have an autosave, after all.
