Make us whole! Please, just make her SHUT UP!
That's right. I'm back, and in full force(Get it? Force...Gun?...force? Never mind).
'Isaac are you there? Come in Isaac. Oh, god I'm so sorry, Isaac, look at, the time difference I can call you back...' The first few seconds of the real relationship that drives this man to Hell and back. Isaac Clarke is back after a three year hiatus, and all he can think of is his dead girlfriend Nicole. Commitment, people. That's commitment. As the savior of the last game, Isaac isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, but as the game opens, we find out Mr. Clarke has been put through the ringer. He is interrupted from a nightmare about Nicole, by a psychiatrist, dead Nicole, and finally by some Engineer named Franco. He tells you that things will be explained, unfortunately for Franco, he doesn't get to tell you anything else past that.
Franco is taken out by an Infecter, as his face explodes, he tries to eat Issac's face. Head butting Issac's way through Franco, Issac is then chased by numerous types of Necromorphes. All within the first 10 minutes of the fucking game. If that wasn't enough, the game gets even more creepy, horrific, and disturbing. I love it.

Isaac is soon reunited with his first weapon, the Plasma Cutter, in a very appropriate way mind you, Stasis, his freezing ability, and Kinesis, his TK powers. These are some of the returning items from the previous game, all with updated Power Node customizations, but it doesn't stop there. In addition to the Pulse Rifle, Ripper, Contact Beam, Line Gun, Force Gun, and Flamethrower, Isaac gets to play with the Seeker Rifle, Detonator, Rivet Gun, and *SPOILER* the Hand Cannon. All the weapons are customizable with their own secondary fires, and are never really necessary. People have their own favorites, mine were the Contact Beam, Plasma Cutter, Seeker Rifle, and the Line Gun, but it really changes the game with the different load outs. Third playthrough down, and it truly isn't the same every time.
As for the actual environment, in which you kill lots and lots of dead people, you are on Saturn's moon, Titan's Titan Station, also known as the Sprawl. The actual difference from hallway to city is astounding in the two games, which shows very well in the types of ways you use the surrounds in helping you proceed. Environmental hazards, enemies, and complete reconstructing help, hinder, and surprise you as you play, and I can't speak any higher about that. It's never the same thing. I..just...can't...it's awesome.
Isaac crashing back to the Sprawl.
I won't say much about the game's story because that is this game's bread and butter. Twists and turns, returning and new characters, old and new settings, and just the whole gameplay set up are amazing.
You will jump, scream, and cuss your way through this game, and it will always be entertaining. No more monster closets, no more shitty checkpoints, and of course no more predictable encounters. The fact that you, and Isaac, are trying to keep your cool through the whole game makes it a nonstop ride. Even with the end credits there are twists. Stay with it. Listen to it. Play it.
If you played, you got a new color! *o*
As for the multiplayer, the squad and objective based games hold little to no water compared to the single player. It's entertaining for a few matches on each side, but it will die out. The SSO (Sprawl Security Officers) have 4 of the main weapons starting out with the Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle, main and secondary respectively, with level based upgrades. Unlocks per some levels, including but not limited to outfit colors, extended clip sizes, increased damage, and additional weapons. But the best and worst investment is the Necromorphes. With the four major categories covered, Pack, Lurker, Puker, and Spitter, you have a unlimited amount of respawns. Kill, kill, kill. Never stop killing. With the upgrades on the 'morphes side you just get increased power, faster respawn time, and greater strength for numerous players.
I can say that most things are overpowered for the SSO's and its never really fun for long periods of time. I love that they added this, but it wasn't at all wanted. The game on the whole, is outstanding. From top to bottom, including the alright multiplayer. Play this game. Poop your pants multiple times. Cry like a little kid. Just get this game. Don't wait for Dead Space 3, get it now. Even more so, get the soon to be released DLC, Severed. 5 hallucinations out of 5.
