I've had this Game since it first became a PS3 Greatest Hits game and im just wandering what some of the great weapons are for Demon Souls???

i will go ahead and admit that i am in a way just cheesing the game by using the duping when i need to and that i only play this Solo Offline, but im only at lvl 145 right now as a Royalty toon some mobs i was just crushing thru but others i have a hard time against. i have been mostly using a winged spear +6 but feel like im weak and when i switch to Soul Arrow i feel weak also. atm im about 40 str/dex, 20s Vit/Int/End, 32 magic and 25 faith/luck

i just recently started to play again as im going thru my backlog of unplayed games i have and this is the 1st one i really want to complete. i did start a fresh game from what i was previously had done and now im just a bit further along then what i was before. im prob about 1/3rd thru the game right now. and a walkthrough im following has me killing Scirvir, The Wanderer BP and he is giving me a run for my Souls.

after this game ill most likely be moving onto Dark Souls, 3d Dot Hero game along wit 5-6 others collecting dust in my bin

Soul Level 145 a third of the way through your first play through? That's a bit overkill. I think I finished my first play through right around 100. With your stats, you can wield just about anything. I mostly used an Epee Rapier and a Lava Bow my first time through because - like yours - my stats were all over the place and both of those scale with STR, DEX and INT. Also the nastiest version of Soul Arrow, because magic is crazy overpowered in Demon's Souls! I liked the rapiers because you could keep your block up and attack at the same time and the bow for luring enemies into melee range one at a time. PvE, you can use anything you want really, just find a style of fighting you like, and upgrade accordingly.

I have come to understand why Sorcery and Archery so powerful in Dark Souls. A lot of the more deadly situations in that game can be overcome easily by staying out of range and therefore out of danger. Also Sorcery and Archery allow you to use a variety of elemental attacks which can make some of the tougher enemies relatively easy.

Need to find yourself a Large Sword of Moonlight! That was my go-to for a lot of the PVE combat in Demon's Souls, and served me well despite at the time I had no clue how to upgrade specialised weaponry. I seem to recall it being in the swamp level, somewhere in a 'nest' of slugs that keep dropping from the ceiling or something.
