In case you missed it, the Destiny 2 raid ends with Calus offering gifts and heavily implying he wants you to join him. This could set up a very interesting scenario for the big expansion next year or for Destiny 3. You'd get to choose between the tower and its straight good guys OR whatever faction Calus represents but everyone would face a common enemy (pyramid ships?). I would personally choose riches and hedonism every time. Calus is so powerful he has his robots drink and lounge around for him. How can you turn that down?

The ending of that raid gives the most interesting look to the future of what an expansion or destiny 3 would look like more than the entire story mode, as they found an interesting setup to give guardians new powers now that won’t be justified around being blessed by the light/traveler

As to if I would join him? Probably not, but I hope it’s just a story thing where the guardians form an uneasy alliance with callus and his line of cabal against the darkness.
