Overview
Detached is a space survival exploration game developed and published by Anshar Studios for PC and PlayStation 4 designed for VR devices (Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, OSVR and Playstaton VR). The game is set in space where the main objective is to survive, by solving puzzles in the ever-deeper parts of the abandoned space station.
The main character is in the EVA Suit, that allows to move freely in zero gravity environment thanks to the engines. Oxygen and fuel supplies are limited therefore it’s necessary to explore map and find additional supplies to refill bars. EVA Suit have three built-in modules: Rockets, Shield, and Boost.
Multiplayer mode
In addition to single player mode, Detached offers two multiplayer PvP modes for two players:
Package Extraction: This mode recreates classic capture the flag battle. Players have to pick up a package and deliver it to the base. Opponents can also use EVA Suit modules to immobilize enemy and gain an advantage.
Race: The goal of this mode is to fly through consecutive checkpoints, to gain as many points as possible. The winner is the player who are able to collect more checkpoints and get to the finish line in one piece. Any accident causes the opponent to win.
Announced May 2018 that the game has been ported to PlayStation 4 (PlayStation VR) with a July 5th release date but was delayed till July 19th, 2018.
