Having been pushed out of their Q1 line-up earlier this year, Square Enix had cited "harsh market feedback regarding a key title," as the reason for pushing the game's release into fiscal year 2011.
Well, now the final date is set in stone: The team announced via their Facebook page, and, likely, other means, too, that the game is set to be released in North America on the 23rd of August and in Europe 3 days later.
Here's a link to their page. The update is at the very top.
With an extra 6 months development time, let's hope this third outing in the series receives all the polish it needs, and is released to warmer reception than it's 2004 predecessor, 'Invisible War'.
