Couldn't find a previously posted story about this anywhere...which is surprising.

Either way, a user asked Blizzard on Twitter earlier if they could confirm whether Diablo III was coming to consoles or not. Community Manager Micah Whiple replied with this quote:

Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project.

Sooo, there ya have it folks. There's no release date or anything, but it's happening. Having played some of the Diablo III beta, it's easy to see the game making the transition...aside from the whole "click on things to kill them" part. The systems are streamlined enough to make sense on a gamepad. The real question at this point would be whether or not Blizzard would consider doing cross-platform multiplayer with PC and consoles.
