modnation goes to preschool
Take a good game.. I dunno.. MODNATION RACERS. Take the art style of that game, take it to preschool. Rape out any racing aspects as well as any game play that was worth a damn and there you have it. Disney Universe. The game tries to be a 3d side scroller mixed with rotten eggs? I dunno. Maybe I'm going a little hard on this game, but there is just no real story line to be had in this game. You go around trying to save your other 'friends' (which are just characters that look like yours in different costumes), but as soon as you do "save" them they just vanish in the air never to be seen again.. OH YEAH! After the "friend" disappears what do you think happens next? Just guess. The modnation (ripoff) character starts to dance around the screen like someone who took one too many shots of vodka (except this is nowhere near as amusing) Celebrations are in order when you complete a stage, but this just takes much too long, and is very annoying in the process.
I understand this game is meant for kids; thus is why I am cutting it some slack. It has a pretty good art style. It's levels, enemies are well drawn for the most part. Even some of the cut scenes made me chuckle a bit do to it's innocent humor. All in all this came COULD HAVE been good. If only they put a little effort into it. I would recommend this game to someone that is six, seven, eight, and (MAYBE) nine (IF YOU HATE YOUR KIDS). Anyone that is over them ages will hate this game and it will go into their game collection and never be played again.
