As the Microsoft Press Conference came to an end one thing is clear. Microsoft is shooting for the stars and, in more ways than one, achieving their goal.

Of the many announcements the 2 most important were, in my opinion:

1.- The new Xbox360 redesign. Smaller, quieter, with built-in Wireless N and 250Gb hard drive, 3 USB ports in the back, HDMI and TOSLINK. Talk about great features! All in all I think it's great, and not just from the point of view of the redesign but, I feel it will help disassociate the dreaded ring of death from it. It looks different, it has different features, and it's shiny black, which will play nicely with everyone's entertainment center. Attendees got their free unit, the rest of us can find it at retail sometime this week.

2.- KINECT, the new "revolutionary" camera system for the Xbox 360 that's posed to rock everyone's gaming sets coming this November 4th. It tracks and follows your body movements to provide a seamless gaming experience without the need for a controller. It will have 15 launch titles when it comes out.

And all that tracking, in conjunction with a state-of-the-art voice recognition AND video recognition, will also allow you to login and navigate the menus without ever using a controller. Can't wait.
