I'm going to get this when it hits the shelves in the UK tomorrow. As I have only recently bought a PS3, this shall be the first time a game I want has been released and I have the choice of two consoles to buy it for. So since you yanks have had a few days to play it already I thought I'd ask for a little help deciding.

Which version do I get, Xbox or PS3?

    Both.

Seriously, just look up if there are any differences or not and go with what you want. Controller preference also comes to play too.

I heard it was slightly better on the 360... Dunno if it's true, but I think that's what someone got from a demo comparison or something.

Seems that they're essentially the same, so get it for whichever console you generally prefer (UI, controller, et cetera).

In truth, that's true for most games, so you'll likely end up just buying the majority of multi-platform releases for one console (for me it's the 360, although it's really only a matter of my preferring the controller), and using the other for exclusives / its strengths, and the rare game that's superior on that platform.

Eurogamer's in-depth comparison gave the frame-rate edge to the 360, but the benefits are mostly only seen during cut scenes. Gameplay itself runs pretty consistently across both platforms around 28-30fps

I'm looking at Lens of Turth comparison and it looks like both version have screen tearing, while the 360 version has a slightly better resolution.

From what I've read here, Xbox is better performance wise if only slightly, and I do prefer the controller, I'm sure I'd like it on either console but I'll grab the 360 version this time.

Stupid multi-platform games, making me decide which system to buy for on top of what game to buy.

Personally, there's also the noise issue: my 360 is just so much louder that if there's a lot of immersive environments, or music, or even particularly good sound design, I start to lean way towards the PS3. I wish I had a slim 360, but... I don't.

I've heard the xbox version is slightly better, but nothing jaw dropping. Pick which controller you like better.

I also have both systems.  Do both systems use v-sync, etc?
