    Some details came out in the latest Famitsu for the third entry in the series.  New classes include Royalties, Phalanx, Monks, Ninjas, and Pirates.  Also it would appear there won't just be a dungeon to delve or climb, but rather also ocean to explore.  Now if you'll excuse me, I need to find my EOII and finally finish the 6th stratum.

    I don't know what this is, but it looks quintessentially japanese. And, uh...

    Phalanx?

    @extremeradical: It's actually a rogue style game heavily influenced by Wizardry.

    Sweet.  It's good to see this series thriving the way it is. :)

    @extremeradical: As in First Person party-based Dungeon crawling with a sadistic difficulty level and a devoted fanbase.

    @ArbitraryWater: I see. I know the type.

    Still, Rogue is three for five on that list.
    Or Roguelikes, anyway.

    I really need to get the first 2.  They look like excellent JRPG, but they got lost in the many other JRPG available.

    If Demon's Souls was a J-RPG, yes. I played enough of the first one to know that I wasn't a fan, but I can understand why people like it, even if I disagree with them.

    @xyzygy: They are in a way, difficulty level aside (which imo, really wasn't there in either EO games due to certain rather broken skills).  Demon's Souls injects a remarkable atmosphere to the worlds you explore, and EO does the same for its floors and stratums.

    And I think it's somewhat mistaken to call EO a JRPG.  Art direction aside, its Wizardry roots are very much western.  The Dark Spire is a pretty good example of the same kind of game without the more Japanese aesthetics.  It's almost funny actually when you consider all the talk these days about an unbridgeable culture gap that makes western games unable to succeed in the east, but here you have something that made the intercontinental hop so successfully.

    I feel the same way...this looks sweeeet. Although, I have so little time for console gaming these days, I'm really getting caught up on the DS buying spree I went on last year.
