    Overview

Fable Legends was an always-online game set 400 years before the first Fable. The game featured four player co-op that had those players take on a player controlled dungeon master aka the villain. Smartglass was supposed to be supported for the villain, allowing them to drop enemies and change the dungeon on their touchscreen, but this was never shown in the wild.

The game was being developed by Lionhead Studios Ltd. for the PC (Windows 10 Exclusive) and Xbox One with cross save and cross-platform capabilities.

The game was to be free-to-play, with a system that rotates between four free characters every two weeks (an Xbox Live Gold subscription would have been required).

During its closed Beta Fable: Legends was cancelled and shutdown in April 2016 alongside the closure of Lionhead Studios
