Fallout: New Vegas' Voice Cast Is Lined With Stars
" Will the gameplay actually be improved at all? I just couldn't get into Fallout 3. It was just so boring... "It's supposedly going to have improved shooting mechanics to make it feel more like an actual FPS. But I'm holding my judgment until I see a quick-look
I bought a new copy of Fallout 3 today to replace my old one. The attendant at Gamestop saw what I was buying, and suckered me into doing a pre-order for Fallout: New Vegas, so when I buy it in October, I would get a $5 dollar discount on the price. He was so skilled in the way he did his pitch, that I immediately said "Sign me up!"
That was a very impulsive thing to do, and on my way home, I started regretting doing it, because I don't like being impulsive. Now, however, seeing all these great actors joining the voice talent actually makes me excited. I pray that Obsidian doesn't release the game in a glitchy mess.
" Played Chandler on Friends, referenced in Lazy Sunday, loves Fallout 3, and is now doing voice work for Fallout: New Vegas. How much more awesome can Matthew Perry get? He was in The Whole Ten Yards though... "He was raised in Canada.
I kid, Canada is pretty dope. Good to see that their putting names behind the game, hopefully its evidence of them trying to make it extremely high quality, not blowing their budget in the wrong areas.
Ron Perlman is the man..... hes Vincent (if you have to ask, your too young kiddo), Hellboy, and the narrator from Fallout 3... how cool is that guy???
I don't really get celebrity voice acting in games. I guess it is kind of cool, but I think developers would usually do just as well using established voice actors, presumably at significantly less cost.
Obsidian is typically better at the RPG stuff than the game stuff. Bethesda made the engine, so this should be awesome.
I like it when good voice actors work on games...though I can't really think of Michael Dorn as anything other than Worf.
Liam Neeson was awesome in Fallout 3...although the game was so far-fetched. Not my taste, but I appreciate the artistry of the game.
" Beats the like four people used to voice all of Oblivion and Morrowind. Fallout 3 was hardly better. Whoever cast the voice of Three-Dog in F3 should be run over by a bus. "Dont be hatin on three-dog
" Not surprised Matthew Perry got in on the action, I forget what show he was on, but he was talking about how he hadn't slept the last night because he was on his 360 playing Fallout 3 all night. I gained a lot of respect for him that day. EDIT I forgot to mention, this is still Obsidian making this so who the fuck knows how it'll turn out... "I just gained a lot of respect for him as well.
