The post-apocalyptic Fallout universe expands into Nevada in this new title in the franchise. As a courier once left for dead by a mysterious man in a striped suit, the player must now set out to find their assailant and uncover the secrets of the enigmatic ruler of New Vegas.
Please don't tell me what the consequences of my choices are. I just want to know why I seem to have only one option.
I took the platinum chip, upgraded the bots, killed House, and installed Yes Man into the system. Now I've visited all the tribes and come to the conclusion that I do not want to ignore them. But it seems that the only way to advance the story is to tell Yes Man to ignore all of them!! Am I missing something? I would like to say "I've met the Brotherhood of Steel, and they are a threat." Is there a way to do that? It says it is "Optional" to tell him to ignore them, but it sure doesn't seem that way!
I did that stuff before doing most of what you've done. I was hoping finish the stuff that you've already done would make this quest go away, as I'm also left with an option that I don't wish to take.

If you want to say that the BoS is a threat, just make them hostile to you. The quest then changes to something along the lines of "Inform Yes Man that the Brotherhood of Steel is Hostile Towards You." Some of the factions, like the Great Khan for instance, will also be associated with other faction quests (i.e. there is an NCR quest that gives the opportunity to get rid of the Great Khan or ally with them)
@spazmaster666: Ok thanks! I'll try that. That seems kind of roundabout. I like being sneaky, Befriending someone and secretly plotting against them, but I guess that isn't an option. Thanks! @Jayross: Dude I know right?
" @spazmaster666: umm. that didn't work. I'm now vilified by the brotherhood, but still my only option is to tell Yes Man to ignore them. "
Well I guess it only works with some factions and not others (probably something to do with their significance in each particular path of the main story). For instance when I accidentally made the Great Khan hate me, I got a prompt telling me to tell Yes Man that the Khan and now "hostile to me."
I would be curious to know the answer to this to. After killing House, I proceeded with the intention of ruling the Strip myself, but since I only had the option of "ignoring" certain factions I decided to side with Caesar.
when you do the quest in the dark do everything to help hardin become the elder bcuz then they will accept u and u can choose to have them help you in the wildcard side bets quest
I'm just glad I saved the game before condemning myself to being hated by the NCR by telling Yes Man about the different factions out there. I just wanted to talk to Dave Foley, darnit.
