I'm seriously considering buying this game. Someone please talk me out of it but I need somewhere to place my harvest moon/viva pinata energy.

I know I don't know you very well, but I'm confident in saying this: you're better than this. Don't do it, man. You have a lot to live for.

Also, maybe you should try Animal Crossing or, on a non-farming front, SimCity. Just, for the love of God, stay away from tractors.

wait for it to be like $5 on steam I did that with train simulator because I was gonna crash some trains but then I never even launched it. Don't regret my purchase though, what if some day I want to crash some trains?

Get Dwarf Fortress. It's free, and it'll burn up that pseudo-farming energy. Also, sanity.

This is important: This game assumes you actually know how running a real-life (contemporary) farm works, so it just gives you the tools and vehicles without ever really explaining what they do. If you don't already know how to do these things, you might not even be able to play this game.

Just get Minecraft and download the combine harvester mod.

Buy Minecraft.

I've got a dope little farm with sugar cane, wheat, and chickens in the game myself.

EDIT: Although, since it's the Xbox version, my chickens disappear whenever I go further than sixty meters from them. So that's pretty cool.

Buy it. Hell buy ALL OF THEM.

DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would definitely watch this. If you give up on this idea, do harvest moon instead, but still do a daily blog. That would be Fucking brilliant.

I'm much more interested in Street Cleaning Simulator myself, but I've heard good things about the farm sim.

I want to thank the Giant Bomb Community for helping me out of a really bad time in my life. You have talked me out of a really bad situation (no thanks to toxeia though - almost bought it because of ur post). I was on the verge of pressing the buy now button and decided to watch a youtube video of a guy BAILING HAY FOR 30MIN!!!! I immediately closed steam. I decided to pick up my Dwarf Fortress habit back up. Got a mean non irrigated strawberry patch growing. Again thank you for helping me before it was too late.

I was really hoping to have a daily blog to look forward to. Will there at least be a commentary DVD bonus for the non-irrigated strawberry patch?

Don't get it, Farming Simulator 2012 is right around the corner.
