    In the eighth numbered Final Fantasy title, Squall and his band of mercenaries fight to save their world from conquest and destruction. It introduced several new concepts to the franchise, including a subplot with an alternate main character, level-scaling enemies, and the Junction system.

    So while looking at  the latest email from Sony  I noticed under "coming soon" was Final Fantasy VIII

    FFVIII was never my favorite game in the series. I found the the draw system to dull and easily exploitable and I never go farther than the end of the second disc. Still I've been wanting to give the game a second chance for a while now, but discs were scratched to hell so I never got the chance.

    Yeah, when I first heard about this, much like FFVII, I sold my copy on eBay for nearly $50. I'll be downloading it when it comes out. I got to the very end of the game when I was in middle school, but didn't actually beat it. It is my favorite Final Fantasy game.
