    Overview

Fire Fight was originally released as a native Windows 95 shareware game, developed by Polish based team Chaos Works and published by Epic MegaGames, Inc. (Now called Epic Games).

The shareware version included four single-player missions and one multi-player map, while the full registered version featured eighteen single-player missions spanning across five worlds, and six multi-player maps.

It was later released at retail, published by Electronic Arts.

    Gameplay

The single-player puts the player in control of Phantom pilot Jax. Mission types vary from seek and destroy type objectives where the player has to clear areas of enemy ships and turrets, to rescue missions where friendlies have to be picked up and rescued.

Six different weapon types are available, ranging from homing missiles to grenades and a plasma gun. Ammunition for each weapon is limited, and is obtained by picking up numbered icons that drop from enemy ships/structures or are scattered on the map, the number indicating the weapon type.

There is also a inventory system, in which power-up's that are found can be stored and used when needed.

Fire Fight features multi-player as well, with up to four players via network and two player by modem. Two game modes are available. Fire Fight which is essentially Deathmatch, and Base Building, a Capture The Flag-esque game.
