    Overview

    Flipnote Studio 3D featured a Friend Gallery service in Japan upon launch which was shut down after an incident involving inappropriate material being sent to minors in the Nintendo 3DS Swapnote app which caused Nintendo to shut down all services accessible by minors that could lead to another scenario like this. The release dates of Flipnote Studio 3D for PAL regions and North America had been postponed until early 2015 when Nintendo announced that registrants of their new loyalty program would receive a free download of Flipnote Studio 3D.
