Does Blackgate spoil the main game?

I won't be able to play Batman: Arkham Origins for a few months for various reasons, and I'd been hoping to pick up Blackgate to pass the time and scratch my Batman itch. But I've learned it takes place after the main Origins game, and I would hate to spoil something for myself. So how 'bout it? Can I play Blackgate without having part(s) of the main game's story tipped off in advance?

I wouldn't say that the story would be tipped off, per se, but they occasionally allude to the fact that things *had* happened in the last game without really getting into *what* happened.
