Adding new premium bombcast to your iPhone podcast app

This is just a small How-To to help any folks looking to get the new premium bombcast feed (or any subscriber feeds) integrated into the iPhone podcast app.

1. Open up the rss feed you want in a browser:

2. Find the podcast xml link:

3. Type this URL into Safari (haven't tried with other browser apps):

4. It will ask for your Giant Bomb username and password. (what you use to log into this site)

5. It should ask, if everything went smoothly, to open this feed in "Podcasts". The last thing to do is hit "Subscribe". Enjoy!

For step 4, I forgot to capture a picture of the username and password entry and it didn't prompt me again the second time. It is pretty self explanatory though.

whats the difference between the premium bombcasts and normal ones, they have the same description.

Is it like a longer, uncut version ( I didnt think they were edited much anyway)

I believe you can also just type that podcast link directly into the search field in the podcast app itself. No need for Safari.

The premium version is just without the ads at the beginning and middle of the show. That is the only difference.

Cool. I never got around to putting in the Power Bombcast or Box Office Bomb (y'know, when there's a new one recorded every 5 months) on my iPhone, so this helps.

Thanks for this. Now I can finally have easy access to ALT+F1, Box Office Bomb, and the Powerbombcast without having to get it from the site anymore.

I just did this on my Android phone, but I had to use the old "Username.Password" in the RSS feed trick.

I use Pocket Casts on iOS and this worked like charm. Although, the latest Powerbombcast doesn't show up for me. Anyone else getting this issue?

Can you do this with the powerbombcast ?

Now if someone can tell me how to do this with BeyondPod for Android I'd be ecstatic.
