Brad's a great host. The days of Sleepy Brad are gone.
Boy are they! And it seems like it's given him a little more energy in other shows, as well. Gone as well are the GIFs of Brad falling asleep every week.
I wish he kept doing Bomb After Reading, I love these guys can't do podcast without it running over 3 hours.
Also a BEast podcast needs to happen, I miss hearing the crazy things that happen to Vinny every week, and Vinny brings out such a good side of Alex...hell Vinny does that for everyone.
Brad's a great host, and I honestly think Drew is too inquisitive (in part because he plays less of these games than the rest of the staff, or at least gives that impression) to lead the show. It works for Alt-F1 because he and a lot of the podcast's audience are new to the sport (I don't even watch it) but it would be a little bit off for the games podcast.
I wasn't sure about this whole "Drew hosting the Bombcast" thing, but that picture of Drew looking inquisitive has me convinced that he has untapped potential.
if he needs to fill in, sure. i kinda like when drew's forced to speak up anyway like in 3 man only casts w/ him. he's a great personality and i think he feels shut out if there's too many other people clamoring to speak. but no pressure!
also i don't think we're ready for the beauty. *__*

I think its hilarious that people constantly intake GB content with an analytical view and feel the need to make suggestions like this. Your loss, I guess.
im curious about dan or drew taking a swing at host. drew is great on alt f1 as host. dan i feel could be a good launchpad for crazy antics as host, giving jeff a lot to riff on like ryan kinda did back in the day.
I think more so than the podcast, perhaps Drew should be given/take the chance to host UPF or something. The guy seems generally interesting and I'd like more opportunities for him to get in the mix and get his thoughts across as more often than not, he seems to take a step back and "lurk" while giving the stage to the others. That might be his personality though, and I'd only want him to do this if he were to feel comfortable in doing so.
Kinda reminds me what Vinny said once about how he used to be more reserved and didn't speak out as much until Ryan basically nurtured that aspect of him and pushed him to get more involved, along the lines of "Just throw the jokes out there and who cares if they don't stick? Just move on to the next one and keep going." I think Drew is genuinely just as funny and interesting as the rest of the crew and I hope someone can be the Ryan to his Vinny. (Dan's been doing a decent job of that, I think, in a lot of the team ups he does with Drew, in stuff like Quick Looks and of course Metal Gear Scanlon.)
I think Brad is fine at hosting, I just don't feel like we get very deep conversations about game's stories and esoteric ideas on mechanics ever since Patrick left the podcast (I should mention I'm listening to older podcasts and just got to when he left for Chicago). We still get video game talk but I feel like Patrick really spurred Jeff and Brad to speak deeper about video games than they are willing to do on their own. And Dan, well Dan is a super cool guy.
Surprised people like Brad so much as host. I think he's been alright but he really needs to learn how to move sections along. Each news story they talk about has now turned into a 10+ minute thing where they talk in circles and repeat themselves a few times. Hopefully he can improve that a bit.
