I was sitting there playing FF13, while listening to the bombcast and they are talking about Larp movies, and Alex basically says "one of the guys lives with a roommate unemployed and plays JRPG and WoW all day and has been a high school senior for 4 years."
 
I have been playing every single Final Fantasy game from 6-13 in the span of a month because I dunno, I have been a high school senior technically for about 3 years now, I have an active wow subsription. 
 
Needless to say I was depressed, but atleast I don't Larp.

High school isn't hard. I'm one of the laziest assholes I know and I got through with no issues. The only way you could possibly be held back for 3 years is if you just don't show up.

At least you're smart enough to realize that you should finish school. That's a hell of a lot smarter than a lot of people I knew who dropped out and now live in the "hook-up house" and work a meth lab. I'd rather play Final Fantasy games instead of cook meth, even though Breaking Bad makes it look pretty cool. Except 13, I'd rather cook meth than platy FFXIII.

High school prepares you to cheat in real life.  Learn to cheat better...

GEDs are basically an equivalent to a high school diploma in the U.S. I don't know if other countries have similar programs, but I definitely think it's worth looking into. High school is dumb.

How do you get held back in high school?  Were you dropped as a child?  Get to work, man, some people have actually cleared high school and still can't land a decent job, but at least they aren't lazy about it.

get your shit together, stop playing video games so much (not in a mean way, but it could change the way you interact with the things around you)  
take a good hard ass look at yourself and see where your problems lie, and then take action

Oh BTW: i had a friend a few years back, same description. really had a tough time understanding the world. eventually sold his wow account for 2500 dollars.  
A few days ago i went to his birthday: he had the most crazy drunk techno party i've been to in a long while, about 60 people there.  
And this dude didn't even look at people he didn't know a few years before, crazy overweigt etc.  
What i'm trying to say is, people change, get out and become proud of themselves again. 

Ya man, if you are already a senior just "play the game" for lack of a better phrase, and just knock it out. Then play as many JRPG's as you want, because at least you have that diploma.
