Merge: Super Shotgun / Double Barrel Shotgun

Exactly the same thing, Super Shotgun and SSG should be aliases for the Double Barrel. If you disagree then name a difference besides 'Well Doom and Quake called it this....'

Not necessarily. There are "Super" shotguns, and there are "Double barreled" shotguns. It depends on your definition of "Super" really. You seem to, as you say, refer to Doom.

Super Shotgun is a specific weapon. I see no need to merge.

Isn't "super" a way too vague adjective for a concept page, still?

What if I take a regular shotgun and make it super? But it still has one barrel.
 
Like if I add a rocket to it, with lazier sights and a flame thrower. 
 
Does that still justify a merge?

If someone can show me an example of a super shotgun that isn't a double barreled shotgun I will agree that it shouldn't be merged.....but I know of no super shotgun that isn't just a double barrel shotgun.
