Curved horizon? What would you call  what they do? I feel like if 3 completely different games did it and people instantly know the correlation, it probably needs a name. Spherical plane? It would be different than something like Mario Galaxy where you're literally on a tiny planet. There's no explainable logic behind it in the games that use it, its just an interesting look and I imagine it makes loading easier.

The Mario Galaxy and Ratchet thing is covered with this page...  http://www.giantbomb.com/spherical-worlds/92-1409/

As you said, I think the Animal Crossing/DeathSpank thing is something different.  Mainly because you can't circumnavigate the map/world in these rolling horizon games.  So yeah, it just needs a name.  I'd say a concept page for it is valid.

"Cylindrical World Map/Wrap"? It might be too fancy though.

Rolling Plane? Nah that sounds too much like the rolling plains geography and would cause confusion regarding Red Dead Redemption and WoW.

Spherical Overworld? Spherical World Map?

@Marino:  Looking at that list why is Starcraft: heart of the swarm in there, considering it's not out, I thought Jeff established a rule about not making assumptions before a games release, not to mention it's only one starcraft in there.

Also I like Spherical Horizon, it's fitting, and works along side spherical world.

Thing is sometimes it only rolls on a single axis, like a smurf walking on a rolling pin, so "spherical" could be a misnomer.

Yes, DeathSpank and Animal Crossing differ significantly from games like Mario Galaxy in exactly the way that @ryanwho stated above.  I think this should be a new concept page as well.  And personally I hope more games adopt this style; it looks really neat.

"Rolling World Wrap"?
