Question about 1000 point privalges

So I just hit 1000 points, my question is, I know all my edits go up live now, do I get the points right away or do I gotta wait for that?

You should get them immediately.  Moving to Editing.

All edits made after you reach 1000 points go live immediately, and you will earn points immediately.
However, edits you made prior to reaching the 1000 point mark still have to go through the moderation queue.
