Anyone else think the cars seemed really slow?

I liked the game, I thought it was pretty cool and exciting, especially when insane stuff like the building collapsing happened, but the cars seemed like they were going so slow.  Especially compared to other arcade racers like Burnout or even Blur.  Split Second's cars seemed to chug along like my grandma on a sunday drive.
Other then the slow cars though, I thought the demo was pretty fun, hopefully I'll pick it up either at the end of May or June.

blur beta is not being released on the PS3 and well, i suppose the split second demo will be released tomorrow with the PSN store update.  "
