@sodiumCyclops:  Super dramatized, and has a very star-studded cast. Off the top of my head, both Mark Hamill and Alan Alda do voices.

Nice, I had a local friend recommend that to me actually. I prefer audio books though.

@sodiumCyclops:  I'm not sure what you mean, there is an audiobook version, and that's what I am referring to.

  • The God Delusion (Richard Dawkins and his wife narrate, it's amazing)
  • Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime

When it comes to audiobooks, I only listen to non-fiction stuff mostly. Also, Christopher Hitchens' narrates his own book, God is Not Great. The audiobook is okay - he tends to slur words every so often; it can be hard to catch stuff. If you know anything about Hitchens, you'll know why.

Oh I mean my friend recommended the book, but I would prefer the Audiobook to which you are referring.

I just finished Blind Assassin for the second time on audio book today.  It won the Booker Prize and is pretty dope.

Beyond Band of Brothers.  Very good.  If you've watched Band of Brothers, well it's basically a first person perspective on the war from Richard Winters.  Some of the things he has done are quite amazing, and also very scary.

I recommend you read your own books. There's a certain detachment that I really don't like.

That being said, I don't have a recommendation. I never listen to them.

You know what? Just listen to podcasts. They're just as good as books.

I like the Harry Potter books that are read by Stephen Fry in the UK version who also read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

The best audiobook I have listened to is for the book Rant by Chuck Palahnuik. Not only is the story fantastic but the way they approached making the audiobook is also very cool. The story is a fictional autobiography that compiles accounts from different people, and in the audio book all the different people are voiced by different actors as if  they were the fictional people giving their accounts of what happened.
