So I wanted to get this game, noticed I could only get the $80 or $90 Premium Pack on PSN, went to Amazon, bought a download code, entered it, downloaded the game...and now I absolutely cannot play it. I looked around and saw some small forum posts about the PSN version being broken and needing to sign out of PSN to launch the game then log back in, but instead of that error I am just getting a straight up refusal. Is this a widespread thing?

You'll have to include in your post which game you're talking about. There's been problems with forums not being posted in the location chosen by the user.

Have you tried restoring licenses? There should be an option under Playstation Network/Account Management.
