Do you always play as the same race in each Elder Scrolls game?

I've always rolled a Nord on my first playthrough since Morrowind. I think the Conan-esque badass wearing leather armor and wielding a huge sword fits well with the world of Tamriel.

Do you guys always pick the same race or try to make the same character, too?

I've only played Oblivion, but if I ever play Skyrim I'll be choosing a High Elf just like I did in the previous game because of magic bonuses.

Well, I've only played one of them, so it's hard to say.

Dark Elf is what I played in Oblivion. Really I care more about stats and special bonuses than necessarily the race. Well as long as it's more or less human/elf (i.e. no lizards for me thanks.)

My first run throughs in Morrowind and Oblivion were as a Redguard, then after that I switch it up.  I plan on being a Nord first in Skyrim though.

in my RPGs I always, always go for the human warrior. Or nord warrior, whatever the most "normal" thing is. 
Call me unfun, but if I pick another race or another specialty/class I feel weird. I like to play it safe because RPGs are wild. 
 
Usually the other races and classes have these special.. kinks that I just am not interested in. Like the um, the Elf is supposed to be a range kinda guy? You know what I mean. 
 
Granted, I've only been into RPGs a year and I've only played 6-8 of them, so..

I played a Dunmer in Morrowind and Oblivion. 
 
I've tried a few other races but Dark Elves have always been my favorites.

Such a philanthropist. I assume you just leave the arrows in people's backs to they can find them easily?

I try to play the least disgusting looking race. It's been rough.

I played a Dunmer in Morrowind and Oblivion.   I've tried a few other races but Dark Elves have always been my favorites.

Ever since Daggerfall I play a Breton. Magic resistance I find useful since dying by magic always makes me mad.

Same. Have been choosing to play as a male dark elf named Acheron since Morrowind first came out. Does this make me a racist?
