I recently downloaded Vuze hoping that I would be able to stream content on my ps3, but every time I try to run the program it crashes on me.  I was wondering if anyone else has used Vuze and whether or not they have had problems with it?

I would recommend the Zune software. Far easier for streaming to my 360 - I don't see it being a problem with PS3 either.

I attempted to use Vuze for streaming to my ps3 as well. I failed.
Now I use PS3 Media Server (freeware), it works pretty awesomely.

For 360 use TVersity.

You can stream pretty much anything. I stream the bombcast, you can probably stream the video too I know you can stream any video with an RSS feed like youtube.
