Bulletstorm. A lot better than I expected. Weirdly enough, it reminds me a lot of Ratchet and Clank. I guess the whole resort planet vibe together with the crazy weapons and raunchy humour are the cause.

Actually, it might have been Dark Souls, but I'm gonna finish Bulletstorm before I continue my journey there.

Mass Effect, playing through the whole trilogy in one go and see how it plays out

#4 Posted by believer258 (7839 posts) - 4 months, 17 days ago

This thread has already been made.

Anyway, my answer is Metroid Prime, which is also the last game I played in 2012 due to me having played it from about 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM or so. Which is strange, because I got that game in 2003 so I was most likely playing it at at the same times a whole decade ago.

(The Ultimate) Doom.

Team Fortress 2. Same as the past four/five years. It's incredible how Valve has kept up with updates that make the game worth coming back to for so long.

That's a really weird comparison, but it totally fits! Bulletstorm is a great game as long as you don't try to take the plot too seriously.

@believer258: Oh, excuse me buddy, but as you may see, I'm new here so I did the mistake of not searching through the forum, but anyway, I think this thread is going well.

Assassin's Creed III. I liked playing it - more specifically the bit between the ridiculously overlong tutorial (although Haytham is by far and away the best character in the game, and actually one of my favourites from 2012), and pretty much everything up to the end of Sequence 11. Connor is a terrible shade of character who's story sort of just peters out rather limply, and the ending of the Desmond stuff... man, I've never much cared for Assassin's Creed's overriding conceit, but that was some poorly handled dumb stuff right there.

Probably Borderlands 2, never played the first one but got the second for Christmas and I've been addicted to it ever since.

Dragon Age : Origins got it for 6 bucks. So good! Just finished the ware wolf quest, they make the decisions so hard in that game.

Mass Effect 3. Next on the list is Walking Dead. Have to finish them before I listen to the GOTY podcasts.

Persona 3 for the PSP/Vita. I was able to get my data off my PSP Go and get it on my Vita so I've been playing that mostly.

Assassin's Creed 3 for Wii U.. with guest appearances by Nintendo Land. About 16 hours into AC and while I think most of the criticisms are valid, I'm still having a good time.

Star wars the old republic, i started just before Xmas

Just started up New Vegas on the PC after originally putting a paltry 10-15 hrs. on it when it launched on the 360. Having a good time so far playing Hardcore but everytime I put on a play sess. I find myself lusting for the forsaken peaks and valleys of Skyrim. Might be just be my proclivity for gaming on the Xbox instead of the PC.

I just started a new playthrough of Dragon Age 2 yesterday. I made a female Hawke, named Jessica. She has dark hair, pink lipstick, and bright blue eyes. She looks pretty realistic, which was my goal.

Hotline Miami, which I beat right after midnight.

Then I started Bulletstorm which is kind of great.

Why is this a blog post? Mine was Far Cry 3. I'm trying to juggle my time between that and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It's working pretty well, but every other aspect of my life is suffering as a result. LOL.

#35 Posted by fetchfox (787 posts) - 4 months, 16 days ago

Hotline Miami. Crazy shit.

I'm doing that, too!

But my first game of the new year was Mark of the Ninja. Seems okay.

I was finishing Need for Speed Most Wanted, so technically that.
First new game I started was the newest Transformers game

My first official gaming act of 2013 was to finish inFamous.

It wasn't bad!
