Game Novels

I read some when I was a kid.  I remember the Blaster Master book and the Ninja Gaiden one was pretty cool too.  I also think I read one on Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest. 

I haven't read a videogame "book" in over 15 years although the Mass Effect book did tempt me.

You do know Clancy's Rainbow Six came before the game, right?

Eric Nylund is a halfway serviceable writer, so the Halo novels were not bad.  It is imperative, however, that the reader knows exactly what they're getting into.  It is almost complete action, backstory, and the books are full of typographical and continuity-related errors, which can't be pinned on Nylund so much as his editors, but still.

The World of Warcraft comics are great. I don't even play WoW.

I know it's not a novel but the metal gear comics are pretty good.  Just read the Sons of Liberty trade yesterday and it was actually REALLY good!  Less emphasis on Raiden too.

I havent seen any of the perfect dark novels, But i own some of the others, bought them from ottakers UK bookstore i enjoyed them actually

Metal Gear Solid the novel was pretty awesome. This is coming from a guy who only reads manga and light novels, so actually reading a novel is a huge feat for me :P

perfect dark is ok, isnt the best one. Didnt realise was a metal gear solid novel, might have to check that out. Got the Halo Graphic novel, that is pretty sweet...

Yeah the Halo ones really give you an interesting look at the universe.  Especially the Fall of Reach.
