I Miss The Question of The Week

Does anyone else miss watching peoples question of the week videos? I know it never really panned out on I love Mondays but why can't we do a weekly community video contest. Is this already going on and I don't know about it?

Nobody was doing it, so they stopped. I'd have killed it a lot sooner.

Edit: I don't think there is anything like that. Try it out, though I think you'll be hard pressed to find any kind of consistent interest.

I think the reason they stopped QotW was because they went about 3 consecutive weeks of getting 0 or 2 submissions. It takes a lot of effort to actually make a video that is actually funny and not many people care enough to actually work on it.

Question of the Week was boring. It was about a dozen of so users submitting stupid videos every week trying to be funny and failing.

I know it stopped on I love Mondays for that reason, but has someone tried to get one going just here on the boards? I think since the community has grown so much there might be people interested in just doing it for fun.

How long has it been since the last QOTW again? A year or two?

I wonder if we've expanded enough over that time for there to be a bunch of newer users who would actually want to contribute to QOTW. I feel even if we have grown that much, they should still overhaul the model and not do it on a weekly basis, because that would probably end up being exhausting and end the same way it did when they discontinued it.

Only QOTW that was really entertaining.

I totally forgot about QOTW. Nah, let it rest in peace. The concept rarely panned out.

QOTW was more cringe-inducing than actually funny. it's a good thing that they scrapped it.

There were only a few good responses out of all of those QOTW videos.

No one has tried, so it looks like you just volunteered yourself.

Yeah, Ryans head really made my Mondays. I think they said they have been unable to do that because of the lack of equipment, they may go back to that, or stick to what they have now.

There were a lot of people complaining every week about having to sit through/skip the intro every single time because it was too long. Now it's gone and people want it back..........

It wasn't a very liked segment because there were so few good submissions. Also the editing was hard, and it showed. That said I'd like to see GiantBomb do some editing again someday.

It wasn't a quicklook, it was a question of the week.

There was so few good submissions it really wasn't worth it. I don't think that has changed. Maybe if it was once a moth or something like that.
