It's true. Next time get a first string LCD(Sony, Samsung) or Plasma(Panasonic, Pioneer).
If you bought a Vizio for gaming you fail
Vizio's are fine, the only people who are trashing are those that are made they paid 1000 more for their tv and aren't seeing a difference
"That is it right there Shocker...You hit the nail and not the thumb. My Vizio looks better than my Samsung...The 1000 isn't worth a difference I won't notice.
If you are coming from tube to lcd/plasma then any (most any) will look a lot better. BUT as you dig deeper you shall see just what that extra "1000 more" gets ya..."

wow, a lot of stuck up dudes on here. for the money, vizio is great. and uh, i played cod4 at my friends house on a bravia 42", and it looked slightly better (brighter and better blacks) than mine (vizio 37").
seriously, as far as pricing goes, spending 600-700 on a 1080i 37" vizio aint bad. how does spending a $1000 more make sense for the same size tv thats slightly brighter, better contrast ratio, and maybe the almost unnoticeable higher res?? its not worth that much more money at all.
My Sharp Aquos doesn't have much of a visual difference over other TV's I have played on. While slightly better, it's not worth throwing out the money unless you're insecure..

wow i have a visio and have seen other tvs they look the same i would like a sony but eh i can wait till they go down in price not worth a thousand dollar difference just for minute difference so whatever...
Of course it's not going to be the same quality. It's marketed as a bargain set. For the consumer who has a tight wallet (which is most of us) it's a steal. I work at a production house and I constantly see the latest HD sets. I am TRYING to save for a higher grade Sony (the KURO) but the costs for someone on a budget are a bit much. If it comes down to it I may break down and just get a Vizio. Yes it's lower quality, but it's the only HD set I know of for that price.
