Is it worth getting a PSP now?

I'm contemplating whether to get a PSP. If I do get one, I'll be getting MGS Peace Walker and Portable Ops, Patapon 2, and possibly SMT Persona 3 Portable and Knights in the Nightmare (When they come out).  
 
My question to all of you is should I get a PSP for just these games or don't bother? If I don't, I'd probably preorder Mafia II, Marvel vs Capcom 3, the new Mortal Kombat, and The King of Fighters XIII (when they come out).

Wait until e3 is over. You never know what they will announce.

I bought my PSP for Peace Walker, and I don't regret it at all. I do have other games as well (Portable Ops and GTA Chinatown Wars are both quite good). I would recommend buying the Peace Walker PSP pack.
 
On the other hand, you may want to wait until after E3, and see if Sony announces a new PSP. If the PSP2 is backwards compatible, then I would just wait and pick up games like Peace Walker then. 
 
EDIT!: I'd like to point out that I bought my PSP on Black Friday last year, so I don't seem like an idiot for buying one before E3.

Yes.  Get it and install Adhoc Party so you can play online.

I bought my PSP for $50 bucks off some guy who just used it for a trip. However, I would not pay anymore for a PSP. The only games that have been worth my time are: 
 
MGS: Acid, Portable Ops, and Peacewalker 
Patchwork Heroes  
Killzone: Liberation co-op
Pixeljunk Monsters 
 
If you are looking for a handheld, get a DS.

Way more worth it then a DS, that thing is absolute shit, and anybody that thinks otherwise fails at life.

I had a PSP, while i enjoyed it enough, it just seemed like an overpriced handheld, but i can't say that i don't want to own one again, there are some really good games for it

I have a psp and ds.... they go unplayed, and collect dust in my basement on a shelf

I'm tempted on getting a PSP just to play the new God of War game coming out on it.

Everyone is speculating that this new deal is to clear out all their old PSPs to have room to sell their new PSP2 that people think will be announced at E3.

Yeah its worth it. There are enough good games on it to justify buying it. MGS peacewalker, portable ops, killzone liberation, resistance retribution, GOW chains of olympus, patapon 1 and 2, and plenty more. 

worth it imo. lots of great games, plus all the ps1 games from psn.

I agree with the people telling you to wait until after E3, I'd put money on a PSP2 getting announced.

PSP 1 has been cracked for years. Custom Firmware, Emulators, etc.
 
I think the PSP 1 is worth picking up.  If you aren't into the hacks and cracks then maybe wait....

If no PSP2 is announced at E3 then I'd say it's worth it. There are some great games.
