So I'm a 30 year old 300 pound rather hardcore gamer how listens to punk and reggae.

I loved Ryan and Jeff's video of Dance Central and actually thought it made the game look good.

Is it wrong that I want Dance Central? Am I the only one?

I am neither 30 years old nor 300 pounds but I agree that game looks fun. And it will probably be a better fitness tool than Your Shape.

I don't have an answer to your question, I just know that your avatar is going to be hella fitting in about twelve years time.

No offense, but can Kinect even track movement with someone that fat? Again, I'm not trying to be rude, I think it's a legitimate concern about the technology that I would look into before actually buying one.

It would definitely be good for you though, what with all the exercise.

No offense taken, I'm fat and its my fault. I'm guessing Ryan is over 300 and it tracked him with no problem.

Agreed, it looks from the video that weight is not an issue.

I don't fit that demographic but I am very interested in this game. It's the one Kinect title that really grabbed me as a great display of the technologies abilities. Plus the people working at Harmonix are obviously a talented bunch of people with a real passion for music, which should make the game top of the line.

@EvilHaole: Yeah, I guess I had forgotten about GiantBomb's heavy-set staff. Upon seeing it function for them, I'd say go for it, as a little bit of exercise is always good (I'm a little on the chubby side myself, and have been trying to work it off to avoid getting as fat as my 300-something pound uncle).

Edit: I should also point out that I have no interest in buying Kinect, and if by some odd chance that I do get one, I wouldn't get this game because I don't like dancing, and I don't like dancing type music.

When I first saw the game I was very sceptical, I love the work Harmonix did on the Rock Band games but I was worried that Dance Central was just another gimmicky motion control game with no real depth. I've slowly come around and I now have to admit that Dance Central looks like a genuinely good rhythm game, for me it's the only Kinect title that seems worthwhile.

Yeah thats exactly was I was talking about.

When this game was first shown I just laughed. Now after seeing it, even though it couldn't be geared to someone further than me, I actually think I will buy Kinect and this game.

Yeah, they really should take better care of themselves. Also, Brad seems to be putting on some weight as well.

Its I guess in a way a more acceptable Just Dance for the core gamer, though I doubt that many core gamers would at first want to pick this up. It could really go either way. I'm kinda excited for it I guess.

It's wrong of you to create a fairly useless thread.
