Know any deals on laptops? (to edit video/pics using adobe)

Hey duders, just wondering for some purchase advice/deal seeking help. I'm taking a trip this December to the U.K. and need a laptop for decent video/photo editing.

I'm not opposed to refurbished/used, and I'm completely willing to load it with RAM if necessary. I was hoping to spend around $300-400 on the laptop itself. I'd be using Photoshop/Camera Raw/Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects.

I am a patient individual, but any machine/thing anyone can suggest to make my future render times not so unbearable would be amazing.

Tiger Direct is doing a sale on all refurbished stuff, including laptops. I don't know if that helps.

I hate to say this but if you want to do video editing you want a Macbook. Look around for Black Friday deals.

Yeah, I agree, but I just can't get one on my budget. I own an iMac for home editing, but I obviously can't bring that with me on a plane. This is just to deal with the travel situation.
