Looking for a new FPS

Alright, I've been playing Halo 3 since it's release and all my friends have been telling me that I need to just move on already. As much as I'd like to, I'm just not sure where to go. I play COD on occasion and as much as I like it.. I'm bored of that as well.. Anyway any suggestions!?

If halo still works why move? If you must then try TF2 since its completely different, (im also a pretty big halo fan but i like TF2 more) then obviously Battlefield bad company 2 (though it is just another military fps)

Im not saying Im gonna stop playing Halo, but it is getting a bit ridiculous. I can't tell you how many times people would ask me what my favorite game was and I'd say Halo3 and they'd be like "uh... that came out like 48398420 years ago... move on" and I guess I've been extremely biased and defensive about moving onto something diff. So I guess I'm just looking for some insight to something else, lol hopefully not too diff which im pretty sure doesnt exist.. baby steps right?

Counter strike source is full of fun. Zombies, break maps and jail breaks.

I'm not picky and honestly... I'm willing to try anything-- just let me know why I should :)

I just want to put a second opinion in for bad company 2, it's probally the game you want to play, mulitplayer wise.

I've been playing Blacklight: Tango down lately and it's not that bad. It's fairly similar to the CoD series what with customizable loadouts, black-ops mode, etc. and it's managed to take up a couple hours. However, one thing I noticed when I played CoD: WaW again, you feel so slow and sluggish compared to Tangodown where the running is about twice as fast. 
 
Oh also, it's only 15$ on XBLA so it's not a bad deal.

TF2, but only if your going to play it on steam.

Putting up a second opinion for Blacklight: Tango Down, it's a good budgetgame while still entertaining.

 Wow Thanks for all the suggestions! It's killing me right now. I just got a job at Best Buy and I was at work today and I was totally in the game section for half my shift just looking at these games

For single player, try Singularity. Since you like Halo's sci-fi I bet you'll like this too. For multiplayer, you can't go wrong with DICE's ability to make good online with Bad Company 2.

So you weren't thrilled with Reach? I'm surprised, it's vastly superior to Halo 3.

Highly recommend Bad Company 2 and especially Borderlands. Get some friends together and you will lose track of so many hours.
