Need help Identifying game

It was a game I played in school when I was 8 or so, but the game itself is probably older. It was like a laboratory , where you could mix and match monster body parts to make your own aliens/ monsters, etc. It was an old DOS game I'm guessing.

No not spore, it was very old, and no you did not use them in battle. I think it was just a gadget like game where you could make your own monsters. It was probably an old DOS game. The color scheme i think had a black background, and from what i remember it had a lot of whites, turquoises and purples. Pretty crude graphics too.
