Besides the fact you can "turn it off", you could also turn the camera around and cover it with something to dampen the sound.

Trust me, xbox kinect is the last thing you should be worried about in terms of being spied on. What exactly do you do in front of your xbox that you would want to hide?

I'm gonna use my cellphone and my laptop both of which are connected to the net and have cameras to contact all my friends and tell them not to by the XONE. Cause spy's n' shit.
