OMG WHY DO THEY USE A FIVE STAR SYSTEM!?

First of all, you care about video game reviews way too much. Secondly, reviews are supposed to be more about written opinions than the rating. Lastly, the score is just their to give the reviewers overall feeling on a game, and is not a scientific analysis of the pros and cons. Hope that answered your question.

This reminds me of some forums where mods will delete posts without deleting the whole thread, leaving nothing but angry responses to an invisible offender. It makes the responders look really unnecessarily angry and childish, but then you realize that they aren't, because there was originally something to be mad about.

If there wasn't something to be mad about, though, well...
