I've got to start by saying that the warranty services and customer support for Rock Band 1 and its instruments was second to none. So imagine my surprise when I went to get my Rock Band 2 drums replaced. Rather than the unlimited, open warranty of the previous policy, Rock Band 2 has a 60 day window for instrument replacement. Requests are not processed until EA receives and reviews copy of your original receipt. (Incidentally, although the support site warns that Firefox might not work, it was the IE8 beta that screwed up.) Now I can understand EA wanting to have a tighter grip on replacements this time - although they sure built up a lot good will with their previous policies - but not even 90 days? Really? I'm curious to see what all of you think.
