Has anyone else been experiencing problems with steam today? i have purchased Portal 2 and when i try to install it it just gets through the "preparing files for install" process then steam crashes with a EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS) KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE. I'm pretty sure this is my computer (2011 MacBook Pro 17 inch) as it just recently got its OS reinstalled after a kernel panic. What is Steam's fault however is that it takes 15 minutes for the client to launch presumably because their servers are being completely overrun today. I have tried posting on the steam forums but you need a separate account which i created but haven't received the usual activation e-mail. I am not happy with the service today. Any ideas how to get rid of the error?
