Things in games/movies that are overlooked but make it awesome

There are some things in games and movies which make those movies, or games, awesome. What do you think are those things? For example, the voice acting in GTAIV made the story great.

Eh? I hardly think the GTA4 voice acting was overlooked. One of it's most notable qualities.

Voice acting and audio.
 
Of course, audio is often neglected on the developer's side as well.
 
Oh. And story.

Give me an example of a GTAIV review that did not mention the voice acting. 
 
Something that is over looked to me would be netcode for multiplayer. 
 
Take for example, Gears of War 2. It got rated pretty highly but no one seemed to mention the multiplayer being broken.

I love it when you point something out as being unrealistic for whatever reason, then you realise that the whole game or movie is completely absurd and thus your statement is just dumb lol :)
