Hey Giantbombers, first time posting. New to Chicago and looking to meet other gamers (including fellow GB fans). Also, thought I'd try to spread the word on these cool events.
1) Killer Queen tournament at Logan Arcade on August 31st signup by 1pm, starts at 2pm: Indie 5v5 arcade game, seems like a mix of Mario/Joust with even a little Dota mixed in. It's $25 to enter the tournament.
2) Arcade Brewery Launch Party! at Logan Arcade on September 3rd at 8pm: new brewery sharing their beers with pizza+live hiphop+art+games (including Killer Queen freeplay). Link to Facebook Event
3) Bit Bash; Saturday Sept 6th (2pm-Midnight) at Threadless- huge indie blowout with lots of games. (Unfortunately, I can't make this one, but I'm sure lots of other people will be!) Link to Website
Anyways, just thought I'd share. If you all know more events, I would love to hear about them. I might also try to reach out to Patrick via Twitter, I feel like he will probably be at Bit Bash at the least.
