Why are movie games so bad. and what are the good ones?
Video Games based on movies
Riddick is supposed to be good, but the best one by far I think is the old Bladerunner adventure game.
The reason video games based on movies suck is because they're mostly cash ins made on a budget and a time limit. They often don't need to be good to sell. They're rarely made because there is something about a movie that would be worthwhile as a game.
" Did everyone forget "Doom?" Ohhhh so bad! "He said video games based on movies, not the other way around.
=suck.
Anyway, a semi-good one is Riddick, but that's not really based directly on the film (kind of how Batman:Arkham Asylum is based in the universe, but not with the storyline).
The Wolverine game that was tied to the Wolverine: Origins movie is pretty alright.
I remember the console Lord of the Rings games being decent pre-God of War brawlers, whereas the GBA ones were basically Diablo clones. Either way, pretty alright.

"I really enjoyed the ps2 games of LOTR, aswell. Two Towers was the best though ROTK was still fun for its coop and various storylines. I never even played the FOTR game adaptation and from what I've heard I haven't missed anything worthwhile.
