What do you think I should stream for my 24 hour Extra Life charity marathon?
Hello, all!
I'm thinking of participating in Extra Life 2012 this year and getting my friends and family to contribute for the charity. I'll probably do two 12 hour days, because I work full-time and have other life obligations (like being married and having a 17 month old corgi...).
I am also considering streaming for the first time so that: A) People that donate can check up on me whenever they want (i.e. accountability) B.) I've wanted to start streaming for my blog/site, and this seems like a good place to start to work out technical kinks and get experience doing it.
Here's my question for the community... Which of the options do you think is best for me to do/play/stream for this event? What would you be most likely to tune into?
P.S. I welcome ALL suggestions, but I obviously can't promise I'll definitely go with any specific games mentioned in the thread. However, based on the feedback received, I plan on this being the biggest deciding factor for me.
Thanks!!!
Play through the entire Uncharted trilogy on hard. You can do it in under 24 hours if you have some skills. Or maybe play through Mass Effect or something.
Kerbal Space Program. Make the stupidest rocket you can make and aim for the moon. Not something I'd play for the entire thing, but definitely good for a few hours.
good for you man! Hope you have a good cast! I say indie games because they are easier to drop in and out of, I tried a 24 hour cast of fallout new vegas and fell asleep at the 19 hour mark. I think it's best to mix it up to keep yourself entertained.
Endless Space, invite 3(human) friends add 4 AI(birdpeople) and fight.
Succumb to the Mania with 12 hours of trackmania, then 12 of shootmania!
Delve into uncharted territories with Uncharted 2 & 3
Be part of the human revolution with Deus Ex: HR
Kerbal Space Program might be the best or the worst thing. At least it will be interesting. I like weird indy games, but I don't have enough time to actually play them. So I wan't to watch other people play!

LOL "Annoy 2070"
Haha. I wonder if that was Freudian. :P JK. I actually really want to play it. Just a dumb typo.

Yeah, that's my main concern with playing just 1 game the whole time, especially some RPGs that can start to drag after too much time... I think it could be cool, though, for people to follow the progression, which is why I put it there. I personally am feeling you on mixing it up, though.
This is some great feedback. Thanks!!
@FakeKisser: Awesome thing you're doing. I would say inde games. It may drag if you only play one or two games so swapping games every 1.5 - 2 hours is a good way to keep it fresh. Maybe play some Amnesia or Slender as a horror game and then maybe some Kerbal space program or Cargo Quest for Gravity. Have fun with it.
I would recommend playing Terraria co-op with one or two buddies.
It's an indie game with some RPG systems, and it also requires a lot of strategy and tactics, and it is a multiplayer game, and it is a huge "blockbuster" (according to me).
So, boom, it is decided. You should play Terraria.
