Forgot to add that this is my Gaming Question of the Day to the headline. But I think that's assumed, eh lol.
What is your FAVORITE Sega console?
The Genesis, because even though Panzer Dragoon Saga outranks Sonic 3 & Knuckles, at least I can still emulate Genesis games. Plus the system had a kickass name in America.
Saturn. One reason.

Yeah it says Dreamcast on the video, but I had it for the Saturn. Played the hell out of it, even had like, four friends come over to take turns on that like, 200 or so lap race.

I'd say Genesis by a hair. The Dreamcast was bad ass and I liked a lot of the games on the system, but it didn't last nearly long enough.

That being said, indeed, Genesis is tops for me as well. Although I'm somewhat biased in that it was the first game console I actually had and therefore grew up with, I like a larger percentage of its library compared to the other systems. The Dreamcast was good, but I get the impression that since its games were published mainly in that weird late 90s/early 2000 design bubble where people were still trying to get a serious handle on working with polygons, some of the gameplay mechanics haven't help up quite as well over time. Part of that is also probably because it never really had enough time to take off, too, though.
From a technical standpoint, I can; it's just the damn drives. Stupid compatibility issues.
I'll give it to the Genesis, it has the best games, and biggest library, but the Saturn is the greatest arcade port system. For instance, if any of you want to play an arcade perfect port of all versions of Street Fighter II (not Super, the goods ones) , just pick up Capcom Generation 5, it's an import though.
Dreamcast! Crazy Taxi, POWER STONE, and MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 2: NEW AGE OF HEROES. Cannot get better than the Dreamcast, and I miss it so.

'Genesis' is the single best name ever given to a console. I mean, seriously, it's biblical! The Dreamcast should have been named Revelations.
Mega Drive is cool for 90s camp, and in any other scenario I'd be all for it, but Genesis is just that cool of a name.
I like Genesis. It;s pretty good.
Thanks for providing such good information.

Although It would have to be the Mega Drive, I voted for the Mega/Sega CD because it's the only system with a Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch game.
Dreamcast, with Saturn as a close second and followed by the Genesis(in my case MegaDrive). The Dreamcast had a big variety of really good games (Shenmue, Toy Commander, Propeller Arena, Powerstone 2, Silver, Crazy Taxi...) which were quite unconventional in game play and story, plus you could easily run your precious Genesis roms on it :-P
Saturn is 2nd because I loved quite a bunch of its games even though I bought it after I already had my Dreamcast. The Panzer Dragoon games, Magic Carpet, Shining Force, Daytona USA, Myth, Nights, Virtua Fighter, Sega Rally, Tomb Raider, C&C, Warcraft 2...
Wow, no love for the Master System it seems though it was better than the NES in my opinion
I think if the Dreamcast had lasted longer it would probably get my vote, but as it stands you can't compete with the Genesis. Great, great console.

I own one but have yet to buy any games for it . . . eventually I do wanna build up my Sega collection though it's low right now. though I own a completely perfectly mint copy of The Typing of the Dead for DC that I'm quite proud of. :)@Robitt said:
" I probably should vote Genesis. But my heart belongs to the Dreamcast. "Aww. How cute.
