What a subtle thread title.
Which grown up Mario Kart do you think is better?
"Grown up"? So, this is viral marketing, right? You should check out Crime Life Gang Wars because it's the BOMB
Of those two, Blur. I like the Wipeout-ness.
Super Mario Kart, it's my favorite game in terms of balance and difficulty, sure the AIs cheats but that's part of the charm and the reason 2 players exist, nothing like having both mario and luigi on your tail spamming stars with rubberband AI, and it's my favorite in terms of items balancing, no blue shell. The luck factor comes from the use of feather and the lightning item, but you could jump over gaps without feather for some shortcuts if you're fast enough. (except for ones that're blocked by walls of course).
Red shell can't touch you if you drive fast enough and keep your maximum speed on 150cc. It caters to both demographic who just wants to have fun and ones that wants to play skillfully and looking for a challenge.
Edit: oh I didn't really see your choices posted, can you elaborate on this "grown up" thing? Are the drivers in Blur and Split/Second adults? I've never played either other than the split second demo, but that didn't really show much.
And I've never played mario kart wii, so I can't really comment on that, but I didn't really enjoy double dash, MK DS was ruined by snaking that pretty much killed any form of kart balancing, so using light kart (fast acceleration+snaking) gives a great advantage due to item spamming, I could be wrong however, I didn't really spend too much time in that game, but 150cc was too boring in that compared to previous games.
" Mario Kart Wii is the best. Any other answer is nostalgia talking. "Either that or common sense. Nothing wrong with MK wii, but it doesn't beat MK64.
MK Wii would be my favorite if it weren't for the rubberbanding. It was bearable in previous games, but it's bad enough to seriously detract from the fun in the Wii version. So I'll go with DS.
Split/Second really isn't a Mario Kart. I would call it more of an arcade racer more than anything else.
If we're counting Split/Second as a Mario Kart game, might as well count Burnout as one too. So, Burnout.
Dumb thread titlee, but my vote laneded on Split(Sedond. i didnt really care for the blur beat, and the demo for split/secondwas awesome, and of those two split/second is the one with the most appeal, and its the one which seems crazietst, best, and the one which offers the miost fun :b
