I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue yet. My 360 plays other games just fine, but when I put Alan Wake in the tray, I'm just prompted to open the tray back up. Making no mention that Alan Wake was even in the system.
And please, save your rabid fanboyism about how the 360 sucks. Nobody wants to hear it.
Xbox 360 Not Reading Alan Wake Disc
" 360 sucks "That is not needed. Go away troll.

But that only happened once on one of my older 360s and I think it was DMC4 and then never again.
All I did back then was check to see if the disc was filled with fingerprints.
In the end I just cleaned the disc and that helped, not sure it's gonna work for you though.
The Xbox 360 not reading a brand-new discisbecause it's is a cheap piece of crap though. Just sayin'.
Clean the disk and make sure its not scratched. "Yeah, It's clean as a whistle. Worked on the 5th or 6th try. What a pain. Hopefully it won't continue to be a trend.
It's stuff like this that REALLY makes me wish day-and-date releases went right to Games on Demand. Eff discs. EFF THEM!
I'd love to see a firmware update wherein the HD DVD drive could also read game discs (even if just to install the game, provided the USB connection was not enough for the bandwidth of the game).
This would solve a lot of problems for people with disc read errors.
its probably just a piracy issue that prevents plus nobody has them any-more..." What, they just disintegrated? Mine's right here, hooked the eff up, full of Bourne Identity on HD DVD!
I think I may be having a similar issue. I just bought the game and it is perfectly clean looking. My copy does read, but very poorly. It keeps crashing my xbox, and disc drive is running really loud ( louder than normal ). None of my other discs seem to have any trouble. I am going to try installing it to the hd.
